Butterfly Taxidermy

As with many of my hobbies, I saw a video and thought it looked cool. Next thing I know I’m buying all the supplies and learning how to do something I had never even considered before. This is one of the most delicate things that I now know how to do. It takes a lot of time, patience, and a willingness to fail. That said, the end product is truly one of my favorites. I have long been enamored with the beauty of these creatures, and feel incredibly fortunate to get to share that. And as a fun fact: Any of the quartz used in these, I mined myself in Mt Ida, Arkansas.
